During
the month, the plant despatched 68740 tonnes of HR Coils, 6685

its bottom line, Rourkela collective has initiated several steps
to cut down costs by increased capacity utilization, improvement
in yield, improvement in techno-economic parameters and optimizing
the consumption of various costly inputs.
In the recently concluded
workshop at Ranchi for SAIL's integrated Plants, RSP received
approval for its most ambitious cost reduction plan of Rs.190
crore for the current financial year. In tune with these exacting
standards, RSP has achieved its lowest ever coke rate of 577 kg/tonne

to bring down energy consumption by 8 per cent for the whole year.
