Technology here today. In her opening remarks, Smt. Mahajan said
that it would be her endeavour to ensure connectivity to the villages
of the country so that they could reap the benefits of the ongoing
revolution in the field of IT&Telecom. The Minister also stated
that the concept of connectivity today was not just limited to
telephones alone. The world today was reaping the benefits of
the multi-dimensional uses of the tools of IT&Telecom. If
policy initiatives would ensure prolific use of such tools, the
stage would be set for every village to be well connected and
networked, she added.

it would be his endeavour to tackle the problem of digital divide
with the tools of people-friendly technologies in IT&Telecom.
