SHRI VIKRAM VERMA CONGRATULATES
INDIAN HOCKEY TEAM
The Union Minister
for Youth Affairs and Sports, Shri Vikram Verma, has sent heartiest
congratulations to the victorious Indian Hockey Team for their
historic win in the Asia Cup.
In a message
he said that it is a very proud moment for India to lift the Asia
Cup. He wished them all the best for the Olympic Qualifiers and
said that may the team continue to bring more laurels to India,
a feat which they are capable of achieving. They have made the
whole nation proud.
India beat Pakistan
4-2 in the final match at Kuala Lumpur yesterday. With this victory
, India has also qualified for the 2006 World Cup.
