NMDC PAYS RS. 39 CRORE DIVIDEND TO
GOVT
National Mineral
Development Corporation (NMDC), a public sector undertaking of
the Steel Ministry paid Rs. 39 crore dividend to the Government
for the year 2002-03. This is 30 per cent of the paid up capital
of nearly Rs. 132 crore. The company paid Rs. 33.04 crore dividend
for the year 2001-02, 25 per cent of its paid up capital. The
Chairman-cum-Managing Director, NMDC Shri S.K.Agrawal today handed
over a cheque for Rs, 39,00,66,138/- to the Minister for Steel
Shri Braja Kishore Tripathy.
NMDC achieved
a total turnover of Rs. 1293.43 crore during 2002-03 against Rs.
1268 crore during the previous year. It earned a net profit of
Rs. 312.2 crore against Rs. 256.55 crore during 2001-02.
