PRESIDENT'S GREETINGS ON THE OCCASION OF ONAM

The President of India, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam in his message on the occasion of Onam which is being celebrated tomorrow, has said:

"On the joyous occasion of Onam, I extend my warm greetings to all our people in India and abroad. Union of family members is indeed an important aspect of the festival of Onam.

Onam is a time to enjoy the benefits of a bountiful harvest, which has come about through the determination and sweat of the farmers. The harvest leads to happiness in homes and through the homes to the state and to the country. May this festival impart the virtues of hard work in people of all age groups".
