GOVERNMENT ORDERS INQUIRY INTO CAT
PAPER LEAKAGE
The Human Resource
Development Minister, Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi has taken a serious
view of the leakage of question papers of the Combined Admission
Test (CAT) for Indian Institutes of Management which took place
yesterday. He has ordered an enquiry into the matter. Shri V.K.
Shunglu, former Comptroller and Auditor General of India will
conduct the inquiry and submit the report within a month. The
terms of reference of the Inquiry Committee are as follows:
- To examine the circumstances
which led to the leakage of question papers and to see whether
there was any systemic failure;
- To fix responsibility on persons
or agencies responsible for the leakage;
- To examine methodology of conduct
of CAT examinations and suggest measures to avoid recurrence
of such instances in future.
