CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATED IN NATIONAL
RAIL MUSEUM
A drawing and painting
competition was held in the National Rail Museum here today to
mark the Children’s Day. About 1500 students including handicapped
children in the age group of 5 to 9, 9 to 12 and 12 to 15 years
from 200 schools in the National Capital took part in the competition.
The themes of the
competition were animals at zoo, railway engines, my home, a crowded
train compartment, an historic monument of Delhi, a bouque of
flowers, a railway crossing, our family at a dinner and traffic
jam.
A photo exhibition
on Jawaharlal Nehru and Railways was inaugurated by Smt. Mithlesh
Singh, President, Railways Women’s Welfare Central Organization
(RWWCO). The exhibition will continue till December 13, 2003.
