NCC DELEGATION
TO VIETNAM
A NCC delegation
comprising of two officers and twenty cadets is proceeding to
Vietnam from 17 Nov 2003 to 30 Nov 2003 on an invitation from
the Government of Vietnam. During their stay in Vietnam the delegation
members of NCC cadets will visits important places in Vietnam
and will participate in community development programme including
their stay with locals. The visits of NCC cadets delegation will
further strengthen Indo-Vietnam ties as also expose the youth
of our country to the rich cultural heritage of Vietnam.
The NCC delegation
is led by Gp Capt PK Jain. The other members Lt Col Konnur SB,
Sgt Mammia Path Ranjan, Cpl Sarvesh Tripathi, Cdt Herojit Singh,
UO Pandy Pragnesh, Cdt SA Katoch, JUO Rustam J Irani, Sgt Razia
Ibrahim, Cdt Shamsher Kelshikar, Cdt Ann Zachariah, CUO Ritamani
Pegu, Cpl Annapurna Pradhan, SUO Asmita Choudhary, CWO Chaitali
Bhattie, LC Soni Joseph, Cdt Vidhushi Bhatt, Cpl Sita Limbu, Sgt
Neha Srivastava Cdt Sushell Taneja, F/Sgt Madan Barath and Cdt
Boondil Rohit Singh.
One of the main activities
of NCC, which is a premier youth organisation of our country is
to send NCC Cadets delegation to various friendly foreign countries,
under its famous Youth Exchange Programme (YEP). The YEP in addition
to providing exposure to NCC cadets about various things will
also help them to know about the history and culture of the country
visited by them. The members of the delegation called on Lt Gen
BK Bopanna, Director General NCC at New Delhi today.
