15.4% INCREASE IN TOURIST ARRIVALS
Foreign tourist arrivals
during October this year registered 15.4% increase over the arrivals
in October, 2002. During the month 2,46,110 foreign tourists visited
the country in comparison to 2,13,267 in October, 2002. This year
till October, total arrivals recorded 14.6% increase.
During January-October,
2003 foreign exchange earnings through tourist arrival also registered
19.3% hike over the earnings of corresponding period of last year.
