DUGGAL TAKES OVER AS SECRETARY WATER
RESOURCES
Shri V. K. Duggal,
an IAS Officer of 1968 Batch, took over today as the Secretary
in the Ministry of Water Resources, Government of India. Prior
to this he was Secretary in the Ministry of Steel. Shri Duggal
replaced Shri A. K. Goswami who retired on October 31, 2003.
During his career
Shri Duggal has worked in many key positions like Commissioner
of Municipal Corporation Delhi, Additional Secretary in the Ministry
of Commerce and Industry and Director General, Tourism, Government
of India and ex-officio Additional Secretary, Ministry of Tourism
and Culture. He has also worked abroad as Director of the Indian
Tea Board at Sydney, Australia (1979-83) and Adviser in the Commonwealth
Secretariat, London stationed in Caribean (1989-93).
