NALCO's NET UP 73 PER CENT

National Aluminium Company Ltd. (NALCO), the giant public sector Unit of the Mines Ministry has earned Rs. 189.85 crore net profit during the second quarter of this fiscal with a growth of 73.39 per cent over the same period last year. It has also crossed the target of Rs. 87.27 crore net for the second quarter.

During the period the company achieved a sales turnover of Rs. 864.78 crore, against Rs. 643.04 crore during July-Sept, 2003. During the period its gross margin was Rs. 397.48 crore against Rs. 274.53 crore, a growth of 44.6 per cent.
