PM ANNOUNCES RELIEF OF RS.1 LAKH EACH TO THE VICTIMS OF J&K MASSACRE

The Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee today announced relief of Rs.1 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund, to the next of the kin of 24 persons killed by militants at Nadimarg village in Jammu & Kashmir on Monday. The announcement came after a delegation of migrant Kashmiri Pandits led by Shri Madanlal Khurana, MP met the Prime Minister.

The delegation submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister demanding the rehabilitation and safety of Kashmiri Pandits. The Prime Minister gave the delegation a patient hearing. The delegation was with the Prime Minister for about an hour. Members of Parliament, Ms Anita Arya and Shri Lal Bihari Tiwari also accompanied the delegation.
