The Deputy Prime Minister, Shri L.K. Advani has felicitated Sachin Tendulkar on being bestowed Man of the Tournament title for World Cup 2003. In a congratulatory message to Sachin Tendulkar, the Deputy Prime Minister said:

"Heartiest congratulations on being bestowed Man of the Tournament title for World Cup 2003. You have made every Indian feel proud. Wish you continue to climb higher and higher".

In another message to Saurab Ganguly, Shri Advani also wished the Indian Team all the best and hoped that the team under his captaincy would be in a position to lift the World Cup-2003.
