SETTING UP OF NATIONAL WAR MEMORIAL
LOK SABHA
It is proposed to
set up a ‘National War Memorial’ preferably along the Central
Vista in New Delhi to commemorate those who have laid down their
lives for the country. The matter is being pursued with Ministry
of Urban Development for allotment of a suitable plot of land
for this purpose.
This information
was given by the Defence Minister Shri George Fernandes in a written
reply to Shri Jai Prakash in Lok Sabha today.
