Union Minister
for Health and Family Welfare & Parliamentary Affairs, Smt.
Sushma Swaraj has said that with paradigm shift taking place
in health care & services, it was extremely necessary to
incorporate the research and technology aspects in Family Welfare
practices. Smt. Swaraj stated this while speaking at the foundation
day function of the National Institute of Health & Family
Welfare here today.
Speaking on the
occasion, the Minister said that for effective intervention
it was necessary to bring about a synergy between different
institutions conducting research in the medical sector. Once
this takes place, Smt. Swaraj added, it would be possible to
provide effective last mile medical care and services in the
remotest parts of the country.
Smt. Swaraj also
suggested that a strategy should also be drawn to train the
older professionals in the medical community. By embarking on
such a strategy, it would be possible to incorporate the latest
technological tools with the medical fraternity and hence enable
them to be technology savvy.
