SHRI RAM NAIK CONDOLES THE DEATH OF SHRI A.P. RAM


Shri Ram Naik, Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas has expressed profound grief on the sudden demise last night of Shri A.P. Ram, Advisor (Refineries) in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. Sending his condolences to the bereaved family, Shri Naik described Shri Ram as person extremely dedicated to his work, a man with sound technical knowledge and with tremendous amount of perseverance. He prayed the Almighty to give peace to the departed soul and to provide strength to the bereaved family to be able to bear the irreparable loss in the death of Shri A.P. Ram.

A meeting was held in the Ministry to condole the death of Shri A.P. Ram. The officers and the staff joined Shri Ram Naik in paying tribute to Shri Ram. A two minutes silence was also observed in honour of the departed soul.

Born on 11.12.1949, Shri A.P. Ram was a Chemical Engineer from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi and worked for about 30 years in the Government, public and private sectors. He worked in various fields of oil refining, fertilizer and engineering industry. . He had take over as Adviser (Refineries), in the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas on 17.10.2001 on deputation from HPCL. Prior to this, he was associated with the Ministry as Officer on Special Duty for technical expertise.

Shri Ram was a key person in providing extensive support to Expert Committee set up by the Government to formulate Auto Fuel Policy for the country for which he earned lot of praise in the every nook and corner of the service industry.

Shri A.P. Ram is survived by his wife and two sons.
