No independent
Disaster Management Institute for Railways has been set up.
However, disaster management modules at three Zonal Training
Centres and Indian Railway Institute of Transport Management,
Lucknow, are proposed to bet set up, as a follow-up action on
the basis of recommendations of Railway Safety Review Committee-1998.
This information
was given by the Minister of State for Railways Shri Bandaru
Dattatraya in a written reply to a question from Shri Basudeb
Acharia in the Lok Sabha today.
