Smt. Padma Balasubramanian
has taken over as the Secretary, Department of Posts. She succeeds
Shri S.C. Dutta, who superannuated on February 28, 2003.

batch of the Indian Postal Service, Smt. Padma Balasubramanian
has served in various capacities. Prior to her new assignment,
she was Member, Postal Services Board. She has also served as
Principal Senior Deputy Director General (Corporate Planning),
Department of Posts.
