MAGADH EXPRESS ACCIDENT CAUSED BY SABOTAGE
The Commissioner
of Railway Safety, Eastern Circle, Shri Mahesh Chand, in his Provisional
Findings following a statutory inquiry into the derailment of
2391 Magadh Express at about 03.25 Hours on June 1, 2003 between
Baruna and Buxar stations on Patna-Mughalsarai
electrified double line section of Danapur Division of
East Central Railway, has held that the accident occurred due
to "Sabotage".
As a result of the
accident, one person died, 19 persons were injured, out of these
12 persons sustained grievous injuries and seven received simple
injuries.
The Preliminary
Report of the Commissioner is under the consideration of the Government.
