GEOLOGISTS’ EXAMINATION, 2003
The Union Public
service Commission will hold the Geologists’ Examination 2003
on 29th November, 2003. It will be held for recruitment
to the posts of Geologist (Junior), Group ‘A’ in the Geological
Survey of India and Jr. Hydrogeologist (Scientist ‘B’) Group ‘A’
and Assistant Hydrogeologist, Group ‘B’ in the Central Ground
Water Board.
The last date for
receipt of applications is 14th July, 2003. In respect
of candidates residing abroad or in certain remote localities
specified in the notice the last date for receipt of applications
is 21st July, 2003.
The candidates
must apply in the Common Application Form devised by the Commission
for its examinations which can be purchased from the designated
Head Post Offices/Post Offices throughout the country on cash
payment of Rs. 20/- (Rupees Twenty only).
In case candidates
have any difficulty in obtaining Application Forms from any of
the designated Head Post Offices/Post Offices, they should immediately
contact concerned Postmaster or UPSC’s "FORMS SUPPLY MONITORING
CELL" over Telephone No.011-23389366/FAX No.011-23387310.
For details regarding
Eligibility Conditions, the Syllabus and Scheme of the examination,
centres of examination, guidelines for filling up the application
form, list of designated HPOs/POs for availability of form etc.,
candidates must consult the Commission’s advertisement published
in Newspapers and Employment News dated 14th June,
2003.
UPSC has a Facilitation
Counter near Gate ‘C’ of its campus. Candidates may obtain any
guidance/information/clarification regarding their applications/candidature
etc. on working days between 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. in person
or over telephone numbers 011-23385271 and 011-23381125 from this
counter. Candidates can also obtain information about receipt
and registration of their application, venue of examination, results
etc. on the Commission’s website at the address http://www.upsc.gov.in
