LAST DATE FOR DECLARATION OF STOCK OF INPUTS BY THE TEXTILE UNITS
EXTENDED
The last date for
declaration of stock of inputs (as on 01.04.2003) by the textile
units, for claiming one time credit of excise duty, which was
earlier notified as the 26th of May, 2003 has now been
extended to 15th June, 2003.
The decision
has been taken after many textile units, specially from Surat,
have represented that they were not able to get themselves registered
and declare their stock of inputs by the last date due to agitation
by some sections of the trade. The persons filing such declaration
during this extended period should also file the application for
obtaining registration, if such units have not already obtained
registration or have not applied for the same.
