CENTRE RELEASED RS. 495 CRORE TO STATES FOR WOMEN AND
CHILD DEVELOPMENT
LOK SABHA
The Centre has released Rs. 495 crore
to various States and Union Territories for Women & Child
Development under Centrally Sposnored Schemes till June this year.
Rs. 1967.6 crore were released last year under the schemes.
Rupees 58.4 have
been released to Madhya Pradesh followed by Rs. 44.04 crore to
Tamil Nadu, Rs. 38.78 crore to Bihar, Rs. 38.42 crore to Uttar
Pradesh and Rs. 30.8 crore to West Bengal. Maharasthra received
the largest fund (Rs. 189.35 crore) last year, followed by West
bengal (Rs. 166.8 crore) and Madhya Pradesh (Rs. 150.96 crore).
