ACC APPROVES SENIOR LEVEL TRANSFERS AND POSTINGS

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the repatriation of Shri Jai Singh Gill, IAS (PB:68) to Government of Punjab for appointment as Chief Secretary of the State after July 31, 2003. Shri Gill is presently working as the Secretary, Ministry of Steel.

Shri V.K. Duggal, IAS (AGMU:68) presently Special Secretary in the Ministry of Environment and Forests will be the new Secretary in the Ministry of Steel in place of Shri Gill.

The ACC has also approved the appointment of Shri Navin B. Chawla, IAS (AGMU:69) as Special Secretary in the Ministry of Environment & Forests in place of Shri Duggal. Shri Chawla is presently working as the Secretary, UPSC.
