SHRI PRASAD CONDOLES THE DEATH OF GULAM NABI SHEIKH


The Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad has condoled the death of Gulam Nabi Sheikh, Programme Executive of Prasar Bharati’s Radio Kashmir, who had gone missing since Monday while on a journey from Jammu to New Delhi, and was found dead in mysterious circumstances near Mukerian railway station in Punjab today. In his condolence message, Shri Prasad expressed his deep shock over the untimely death of Gulam Nabi Sheikh and symphathised with the grieved family. In his unfortunate death, Prasar Bharti has lost a famed Kashmiri ghazal singer. His contribution in the field of music as well as in making Kashmir Radio more popular will be remembered for long, the Minister said. Meanwhile, the Minister has asked the Director General, Prasar Bharati to ascertain the facts and circumstances of the death of Gulam Nabi Sheikh.
