FUNDS AND FOOD GRAINS RELEASED TO
ARUNACHAL PRADESH UNDER SGRY
Ministry of Rural
Development has released Rs. 2.43 crore to 9 districts of Arunachal
Pradesh as 1st installment of Central Assistance under
Sampoorna Grameen Rojgar Yojana (SGRY- 1st Stream)
for the year 2003-2004. These districts are : Tawang, W. Kameng,
E. Kameng, L. Subansiri, U. Subansiri, E. Siang, U. Siang, Changlang,
Tirap. The grant is towards the Plan expenditure and will be utilized
for approved items of works under the Scheme. The cash expenditure
on the implementation of the programme is to be shared 75.25 basis
between the Centre and the State respectively. The State Government
should release its share within a fortnight of the date of release
of the Central assistance.
Ministry has released
2740 Metric tonnes of common Rice as first installment of foodgrains
to the 7 districts of Arunachal Pradesh. These districts are :
Tawang, W. Kameng, E. Kameng, E. Siang, U. Siang, Changlang, Tirap.
