DIMA HALAM DAOGAH AND SECURITY FORCES IN ASSAM AGREE TO FURTHER EXTEND SUSPENSION OF HOSTILITY

The Dima Halam Daogah in Assam and the security forces have agreed to extend the suspension of hostile operations for a further period of six months from July 1, 2003. The Agreement was reached after a meeting held in the Ministry of Home Affairs, here. Representatives from the Dima Halam Daogah and the Government of Assam participated in the meeting. The suspension of hostile operations has been in operation since January 1, 2003.
