Vice-President greets
People of India on the occasion of Republic Day. Vice- President
has said:
"I greet the
people of India on the occasion of Republic Day, which is being
celebrated on January 26.
The Republic
Day marks the promise and hope and it inspires all of us to work
dedicatedly in the service of the nation. There are several challenges
like eradicating poverty and illiteracy, stabilising population
growth and maintaining communal harmony to ensure for the progress
of the country. The measure of our future success would be governed
by the degree of progress, we make, in regard to these challenges.
On this occasion,
let us resolve to work unitedly to meet the formidable challenges
that lie ahead and to strive towards building a resurgent India."
