The Defence Minister
Shri George Fernandes will leave for an eight day tour to Russia
tomorrow. The Minister is leading a 19 member delegation including
the Defence Secretary Shri Subir Dutta, Secretary, Department
of Defence Production & Supplies Shri NS Sisodia, Special
Secretary (Acquisition) Shri Dhirendra Singh, Financial Advisor
Shri RN Das, Additional Secretary Ms Somi Tandon, Chief Controller
Research & Development Dr AS Pillai, Deputy Chief of Army
Staff Lt Gen AS Chaki, Deputy Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Raghu
Ranjan and Chairman, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited Shri NR Mohanty
besides other senior officials of the Ministry.
Shri Fernandes is
slated to arrive in Moscow tomorrow evening and stay on in the
city from 14th to 16th. The Minister is
also slated to visit Irkutsk on the 18th and return
to Moscow on the 19th and leave for London on the same
day. Shri Fernandes leaves for New Delhi from London on the 20th.
