PRODUCTION OF FERTILIZERS FOR MONTH OF NOVEMBER

Overall Production

The estimated production of fertilizers during November, 2002 was 9.46 lakh MT of nitrogen and 3.70 lakh MT of phosphate against the target of 10.12 lakh MT and 4.11 lakh MT respectively. Production of both nitrogenous and phosphatic fertilizers suffered on account of inadequate supply of natural gas. Similarly, DAP production was also adversely affected by shortage of raw material & marketing constraints in all the DAP plants. Production was less than target in all complex fertilizer plants due to high silo stocks.
