counterfeits through simultaneous data comparison methods using
3 types of sensors: IR, UV and Magnetic. It can check one currency
note at a time.
It is actively involved
in the Design and Development of "Currency counting and Detection
System (CCDS)" which is designed to count and authenticate Indian
Currency notes in denomination of Rs. 10 to Rs. 1000/- upto about
150 notes at a time. A microprocessor based control system for
control of steering gear and stabiliser system is also being developed
by the centre.
