In order to facilitate
the general public to witness the Republic Day Parade at Rajpath
and Beating Retreat Ceremony at Vijay Chowk, the sale of tickets
for some of the enclosures will commence on January 07, 2003 and
will continue till January 28, 2003.
The price of tickets
for Republic Day Parade on 26th January 2003 will be
Rs 200/- and Rs 100/- for reserved seats and Rs.
50/- and Rs. 10/- for unreserved seats. The tickets
for the Beating Retreat Ceremony on 28th January 2003
will be in the category of Rs 20/- and Rs 10/- respectively
and will not have reserved seats.
The non-department
sale counters have been set up for this purpose at ITDC Travel
Counters at Ashoka, Lodhi and Janpath Hotels, DTDC Counters at
Coffee Home, Baba Kharag Singh Marg, Laxmi Nagar, R K Puram, Sector-XIII
and Food and Craft Bazar Dilli Haat, opposite INA Market. These
counters will be open on all working days.
Tickets will also
be available at Shri Gandhi Ashram, Chandni Chowk and with the
State Bank of Patiala branches at Shastri Bhawan, Parliament Street,
Kasturba Gandhi Marg, Nehru Place, Defence Colony, New Friends
Colony, Safdarjung Enclave, Paschim Vihar, Bali Nagar, Pitampura,
Azadpur, Rohini (Sector-3), Laxmi Nagar in Union Territory of
Delhi. The tickets will also be available at Navyug Market, Surya
Nagar branch in Ghaziabad, Sector 24 and Sector 11 (Mathura Road)
branches in Faridabad and Sector – 6 branch in NOIDA.
The tickets will
also be sold from Departmental Sale Counters on all the seven
days of the week from 1000 hrs to 1730 hrs (without lunch break).
These counters are located at North Block, South Block, Pragati
Maidan (Gate No.4) Appu Ghar, Jantar Mantar (Main Gate), Krishi
Bhawan bus stop, India Gate Bus Stop (near Jamnagar House) and
Parliament House (Reception Office). The tickets at Parliament
House Reception will be available from January 20, 2003 to January
28, 2003 from 1100 hrs to 1600 hrs (Saturday/Sunday/Holidays closed).
The Sale Counters
at North Block, South Block and Krishi Bhawan will function from
1000 hrs to 1930 hrs from January 23 to January 25, 2003.
