The news item titled
‘Vessel sinks’ in the Hindu dated 01st January 2003 contains a
factual inaccuracy. It is hereby clarified that as mentioned in
the said news item, the vessel that sank is not a Coast Guard
vessel.
It is understood
that the same vessel was a hired fishing boat for joint patrol
team of Navy, Gujarat Police and the customs.
