The Union Public
Service Commission have invited applications from candidates
for the Indian Forest Service Examination to be held from 12th
July, 2003.
Every candidate
appearing at the IFS Examination, who is otherwise eligible,
shall be permitted four attempts at the examination. This restriction
on number of attempts will not apply in the case of SC &
ST who are otherwise eligible. Further, the candidates belonging
to OBCs, who are otherwise eligible, shall be permitted a maximum
of seven attempts.
The last date for
receipt of applications is 10th March, 2003. In
respect of candidates residing abroad or in certain remote localities
specified in the Notice the last date for receipt of applications
is 17th March, 2003.
The Candidates
must apply in the common application form devised by the Commission
which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices/Post
Offices throughout the country on cash payment of Rs. 20/- (Rupees
Twenty only).
In case candidates
have any difficulty in obtaining Application Forms from the
designated Head Post Offices/Post Offices, the candidates should
immediately contact the concerned Postmaster or UPSC’s "FORMS
SUPPLY MONITORING CELL’ over Telephone No.011-23389366/FAX No.011-23387310.

Centre near Gate ‘C’ of its campus. Candidates may obtain any
information/clarification regarding their application/candidature

days between 10.00 hrs. to 17.00 hrs.
