*Shortfall is because of:-

  1. The MOU target of 18000 m. for drilling is inclusive of 8000 m of blast hole drilling for mine services, which could not be take up due to technical reason and also drilling for CBM which could not be materialised.
  2. The performance has also been affected due to non-commencement of promotional projects of Department of Mines (DOM).

  1. Production of Minerals:- The total value of mineral production covering metalliferrous and industrial minerals but excluding fuel minerals, minor minerals and atomic minerals in December, 2002 is estimated to be Rs. 566 crores against Rs.570 crore for December, 2001.
