Five films from the National Films
Archives of India would be screened during the Press Screenings
alongwith the 49th National Awards winning films
beginning from tomorrow at the Films Division Auditorium, Mahadev
Road, New Delhi. The films are; ‘Bharat Milap’ (1942), ‘Achut
Kanya’ (1936), ‘Chandidas’ (1934), ‘Admi’ (1939) and ‘Sant Tukaram’
(1936). The nitrate prints of these films got burnt in the fire
at Pune few days back. But the back-up prints of these films
were preserved as a precaution and are being utilized for these
screenings.
