ADDITIONAL CENTRAL ASSISTANCE TO JAMMU & KASHMIR
Ministry of Rural
Development has released Rs. 40.50 crore as additional central
assistance to Jammu & Kashmir under Sampoorna Grameen Rojgar
Yojana- (1st Stream) during 2003-2004. These districts
are Anantnag, Budgam, Baramulla, Doda, Jammu, Kargil, Kathua,
Kupwara, Ladakh, Poonch, Pulwama, Rajouri, Srinagar and Udhampur.
The First Stream
of the Programme is being implemented at the District and Intermediate
level Panchayats. 50% of the funds are earmarked out of the total
funds available under the SGRY and distributed between the Zilla
Parishad and the Intermediate level Panchayats or Panchayat Samitis
in the ratio of 40:60.
