Smt. Sumitra Mahajan,
Minister of State for Petroleum & Natural Gas, informed the
Lok Sabha today in a written reply that the proposed petroleum
product pipeline of HPCL from Mundra in Gujarat to Delhi has a
length of 1008 kms. The pipeline with a capacity of 5.8 million
metric tonnes per annum is estimated to cost Rs. 1,367 crore.
The pipeline will pass through the States of Gujarat, Rajasthan
and Haryana. The pipeline is likely to be commissioned after 36
months from the date of formal announcement; or 24 months from
100% availability of right of user, and environmental and forest
clearances, whichever is later.
In reply to another
question Smt. Mahajan informed the House that IOCL have decided
to lay a 11 million metric tonnes per annum (MMTPA) capacity crude
oil pipeline from Paradeep to Haldia with a Single Point Mooring
(SPM) system near Paradeep port. The total length of the pipeline
is approximately 330 km. costing nearly Rs. 1150 crore. The project
is likely to be completed within 24 months from the date of issuance
of environmental clearance for the project.
