DEFENCE COOPERATION AGREEMENT IN SINGAPORE

The Government of the Republic of India and the government of the Republic of Singapore have signed an Agreement concerning cooperation in the field of defence on Oct 13, 2003.

The areas of military cooperation identified with Singapore cover exchange of expertise and personnel, military training, exchange of visits, bilateral naval exercises and participation in defence related seminars and symposia.

This information was given by the Defence Minister Shri George Fernandes in a written reply to Shri Rajaiah Malyala in Lok Sabha today.
