SMT. KUMUD BANSAL TO HOLD CHARGE
OF CHAIRMAN, ICHR
The Government has decided to withdraw
the nomination of Prof. M.G.S. Narayanan as Chairman, Indian Council
of Historical Research (ICHR) with immediate effect. The notification
to this effect has been issued today.
The Government has
also nominated Smt. Kumud Bansal, Additional Secretary, Department
of Secondary & Higher Education as Chairman, ICHR as a purely
temporary measure in the interest of work, pending the nomination
of a regular Chairman. Smt. Kumud Bansal shall assume the office
of Chairman, ICHR with immediate effect.
