DEFENCE MINISTER CONDOLES THE DEMISE OF AIR CHIEF MARSHAL MEHRA
The Defence Minister Shri George Fernandes has expressed deep
sorrow on the demise of former Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal
(Retd.) Surinder Kumar Mehra.
In his condolence message the Defence Minister
said that Air Chief Marshal Mehra was a great visionary whose
contribution for the modernization of Air Force will be remembered
forever. The Defence Minister said that he was an outstanding
combat pilot well versed in both the air defence and strike roles.
