The shelf life of
Indian inventory of missiles is in the range of 06 to 21 years.
The replacement of
surface to air missiles is an on going process and it would not
be in the interest of national security to disclose further details.
Refurbishment of
old stock of missiles in the three services is carried out as
per requirements.
This information
was given by the Defence Minister Shri George Fernandes in a written
reply Shri Suresh Ramrao Jadhav in Lok Sabha today.
