FOODGRAINS RELEASED TO UTTAR PRADESH
UNDER SGRY
Ministry of Rural
Development has released 37236 tonnes of common wheat and 30741
tonnes of common rice as first installment of foodgrains to the
15 districts of Uttar Pradesh under Sampoorna Gramin Rojgar Yojana
(SGRY). These districts are : Bareilly, Basti, Hathras, Muzaffar
Nagar, Pratapgarh, Sultanpur, Bagpat, Bulandsahar, Gorakhpur,
Jhansi, Kanpur (Dehat), Mahoba, Maharajganj, Mirzapur, Sonbhadra.
The State Government
is entitled to lift the foodgrains from June 2003 to 31st
March 2004. The transportation cost for lifting the foodgrains
will be borne by the State Government.
