DRINKING WATER SUPPLY AND SEWERAGE PROJECTS IN MAHARASHTRA

Housing Urban Development Corporation Ltd. (HUDCO) has sanctioned 18 water supply schemes in the State of Maharashtra at a total project cost of Rs. 4283.57 crore and loan amount of Rs. 1784.48 crores. An amount of Rs. 947.81 crore has already been released for implementation of the schemes.

A Programme loan has been sanctioned for 20 urban water supply schemes in various Municipal Corporations/Councils of Maharashtra for total project cost of Rs. 1165.47 crore and loan amount of Rs. 322.96 crore. This includes a sub-scheme sanctioned for the town of Baramati in Pune district for project cost of Rs. 17.49 crore and HUDCO loan amount of Rs. 0.9 crore. The scheme is nearing completion.

HUDCO has sanctioned a Programme loan for Government of Maharashtra Grant-in-Aid component for 18 urban water supply schemes in various Municipal Corporations/Councils for total project cost of Rs. 164.12 crore and loan amount of Rs. 53.96 crore. This includes a sub-scheme sanctioned for shirur town in Pune district at a project cost of Rs. 3.78 crore and HUDCO loan amount of Rs. 0.1 crore. The scheme is nearing completion.

HUDCO has sanctioned a water supply scheme for Pune city at a project cost of Rs. 14.64 crore and loan amount of Rs. 8.00 crore. The total amount has already been released for implementation of the scheme.

HUDCO has sanctioned 4 sewerage schemes in Maharashtra for project cost of Rs. 136.61 crore and loan amount of Rs. 87.11 crore. An amount of Rs. 5.07 crore has already been released for implementation of the schemes.

Water Supply Schemes In Pipeline For The State Of Maharashtra

There is one scheme in pipeline i.e. Programme loan for Government of Maharashtra Grant-in-Aid (GOM-GIA) component for 32 urban water supply schemes at a total project cost of Rs. 575.66 crore and loan amount of Rs. 156.04 crore. This scheme has 3 sub-schemes for towns in Pune district and is under appraisal at present.
