FUNDS RELEASED TO JAMMU KASHMIR, PUNJAB, HARYANA AND HIMACHAL
PRADESH FOR RURAL WATER SUPPLY
Ministry of Rural
Development has released funds to the State Governments of Jammu
and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh for installation
of handpumps in water scarce rural areas, revival of traditional
sources of drinking water supply and provision of drinking water
in primary schools in rural areas.
Ministry has released
Rs. 510.75 lakh to Jammu and Kashmir, for providing 1457
hand pumps, drinking water facilities in 1355 primary schools
and revival of 1457 traditional sources of water.
An amount of Rs.622.53
Lakh has been released to the State Government of Himachal Pradesh
for providing 2489 handpumps, in water scarcity areas, drinking
water facilities in 463 primary schools and revival of 2489 traditional
sources of water.
Ministry has released
Rs.246.60 lakh to the State Government of Punjab for Providing
1084 handpumps in water scarcity areas, drinking water facilities
in 20 primary schools and revival of 1084 traditional sources
of water.
An amount of Rs.5.90
lakh has been released to the State government of Haryana for
providing 10 handpumps in water scarcity areas, drinking water
facilities in 27 primary schools and revival of 10 traditional
sources of water.
