FUNDS RELEASED TO GUJARAT, MADHYA
PRADESH AND RAJASTHAN FOR RURAL WATER SUPPLY
Ministry of Rural
Development has released funds to the State Governments of Gujarat,
Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan for installation of handpumps in
water scrace rural areas, revival of traditional sources of drinking
water supply and provision of drinking water in primary schools
in rural areas.
Ministry has released
Rs. 274.60 lakh to Gujarat for providing 378 hand pumps, drinking
water facilities in 1404 primary schools and revival of 378 traditional
sources of water.
An amount of Rs.1316.83
has been released to the State Government of Rajasthan`for providing
4280 handpumps in water scarcity areas, drinking water facilities
in 2621 primary schools and revival of 4280 traditional sources
of water.
Ministry has released
Rs.796.23 lakh to the State Government of Madhya Pradesh under
this head.
