CONSUMPTION OF FERTILIZERS

During the 8^th and 9^th Plans , the average annual growth in fertilizer consumption was 2.47% and 4.17% respectively. The availability of NPK fertilizers in the country is sufficient to meet the demand.

The All India consumption of NPK nutrients from 2000-2001 to 2002-2003 is as under:
