REHEAT FUEL CONTROL UNITS IN JAGUAR AIRCRAFT

The incorrect Reheat Fuel Control Units in two Aero Engines of Jaguar Aircraft resulted in their damage and Rs 1.88 crore was incurred in their repairs. The operating wing of the IAF has been held responsible for this lapse and disciplinary action has already been taken against the Indian Air Force Officers found responsible. Suitable instructions have been issued by Air Headquarters to prevent recurrence of such incidents.

This information was given by the Defence Minister Shri George Fernandes in a written reply to Shri Chandra Vijay Singh in Lok Sabha today.
