SPECIAL COMPONENT PLAN FOR STs
The Special Central
Assistance to Tribal Sub Plan (SCA to TSP) is given by the Ministry
of Tribal Affairs to 21 States covered under Tribal Sub-Plan with
the objective of filling the critical gaps in the family-based
employment-cum-income generation activities and the infrastructure
incidental thereto not only family-based, but also run by the
Self Help Groups (SHGs)/Community. The ultimate objective of extending
SCA to TSP is to boost the demand based income-generation programmes
and thus raise the economic and social status of tribals.
The above information
was given by the Minister of Tribal Affairs, Shri Jual Oram today
in the Lok Sabha in a written reply to the question by Shri Prakash
Yaswant Ambedkar.
