RURAL HOUSING SCHEME FOR ASSAM
The Ministry of Rural
Development is implementing the Indira Awaas Yojana (IAY) with
the objective of providing assistance for construction/upgradation
of houses to Below the Poverty Line (BPL) shelterless families
living in rural areas throughout the country including the State
of Assam.
An amount of Rs.14124.59
lakh has been allocated as Central share to the State of Assam
during the current financial year for implementation of IAY.
This was informed
by Minister of State for Rural Development Shri U.V. Krishanam
Raju in a written reply to Shri Dwijendra Nath Sharmah in Rajya
Sabha today.
