SETTING UP POWER PROJECTS IN GUJARAT
The following proposals for
setting up of new power projects in the State of Gujarat have
been received by the Central Electricity Authority :-
- Jamnagar Petcoke based Thermal Power Station
(TPS) (2x250 MW) by Reliance Power Limited.
- Kutch Lignite based TPS Extension Unit
4 (1x75 MW) by Gujarat Electricity Board.
- Surat Lignite Power Project Expansion Phase-II
(2x125 MW) by M/s Gujarat Industries Power Company Limited.
- Sikka TPS Extension Units 3 & 4 (2x250
MW) by Gujarat Electricity Board.
While project proposals at
Sl.Nos.1 & 2 have been accorded Techno-Economic Clearance
by Central Electricity Authority on 25.04.1999 and 6.03.2002 respectively,
the proposals at Sl.Nos.3 & 4 are under process for accord
of TEC in CEA.
